This is a task I usually do in Cakewalk, but because it involved a fair amount of housekeeping to do so, I thought I'd give it a go in BiaB, make life easier.

I have written a tune in five parts. The parts are played one after another. So to start things off, I thought I'd try and load part two into part one using the "Copy Special>Copy Songs to Text on clipboard or files" function.

Well, it did a good job of copying the file, as far as I could tell. It even commented that it copied 481 notes from the Melody track. So I booted another instance of BiaB to load part one of the file into, then selected "Paste Special from Clipboard text to Songs." Well, it pasted everything just fine, or so I thought -- well, I did have to go and set the chorus end measure, but that's no big deal -- but the durn thing didn't paste the melody, even though it claimed to copy it. What it does do is play part one's melody, which doesn't work at all.

I tried again because I originally had both parts' choruses repeating, so I nixed the repetitions, figuring this would kill any additional instances of the melody. But nope, BiaB insists on creating another chorus of part one's melody for part two.

Any way around this apparent bug? Really, the directions were more than clear -- except making any mention of having to go and reset the end bars -- so I'm confused why this isn't working the way it should.

Also, I tried using only one instance of BiaB, where I copied part two to the clipboard, then called up part one and pasted, in addition to the two instances as I mentioned above. Doesn't make a difference.
