I was half serious, but under the unsuccessful attempt at humor lies some interesting truths for those who dig into it. In Mynamar, a Christian movement endures in spite of repeated juntas and squabbles between dictators. Burma, as it is, one of the world's most beleaguered countries, largely due to its location at the crossroads.
I became fascinated by how the church music in Burma had and continued to develop over the years since the 1970's. Thanks to You Tube, plenty of material is out there. I submitted the Jimmy Nathan clip not to offend, but rather, as an example of how our native genres are adopted and interpreted. It helps to be a country fan smile
