Thank you guys, I really appreciate your wishes & thoughts.
As an aside, I joined the local Country Music association a little while ago and was soon seconded as one of the "resident" keyboardists. Once every month they have a family day, where people just turn up with a copy of their chord charts, and sing a couple of songs with backing by a rotating mixture of members.
Yesterday the other keyboard player couldn't attend, so during the course of the day I played with 4 drummers, 3 bass players, 12 guitarists and 15 vocalists.
That's probably more musos in one day that I've played with in my entire 50+ years of playing music!!

Thanks again for your kind words. Over the years I’ve played lead guitar for a number of country music clubs. They can be really good fun, sometimes a bit frustrating (when someone is singing completely different to the chord sheets provided or stopping a starting etc.) but it is a great way to learn even more. What I did like particularly in Hobart was they encouraged a lot of folk out. Got them out of their comfort zone and showed them they had abilities they had not considered. Some folk come right out of their shell and even carry that gained confidence through to the rest of life. That is brilliant. Have fun Tony
