What was interesting was that it regularly played 4 beats, with beats 1, 2 & 3 on the first bar and the 4th beat on beat one of the next bar, followed by a two beat rest, repeating this pattern on the next two bars etc.
This is not what I would have expected when a 4 beat track is set to play 3/4 time. I would have expected 3 beats on every bar (even if the legato sounded a little bit disconnected).
