Audio Plug-ins https://audioplugin.deals/all-products/is offering a free xylophone. It normally sold for $99 USB. The demo sounds great. I just ordered it and will post something with it soon. NOTE - you have to sign in at Audio Plug-in AND you need the full version of Kontakt.Just log in and look under the free tab. If you have the full version of Kontakt this looks like a no brainer to me - YMMV

Aw man, Mario. I was all excited thinking you were giving away your xylophone. I always wanted one but Cheap Slovenian Syndrome has kept me from buying one.
Actually I want vibes, but Cheap Slovenian would likely kill me in my sleep if I sprung for a set of those. A decent vibraphone would set me back 5 grand. 5 grand for another instrument I would only play until the new wore off.

Good catch, Mario. I'm going to have to revisit it. I got all of the Muze instruments in a heavily discounted bundle a few years back. I don't know if I'd recommend the bundle---what you don't pay for up front you pay for in hundreds of GBs in storage. Aquamarine has thousands of sounds but is incredibly bloated and nowhere near a SampleLogic 4-core, especially when it comes to selecting sounds---you'll need to take notes. I think they have a freebie/demo. I think you'll get what I mean in short order. That having been said, they have a few specialty libraries that are at least good and very good bargains on sale (which is going on now). FWIW, one is actually outstanding, IMHO: Mello, which is now on sale for $7. I have the Arturia, the IK Multimedia, and a number of other Kontakt versions, but I found Muze's Mello to be a standout. There's just something about the sound of it that takes me back to those 60s-70s recordings and, paradoxically, with an unusual Lo-Fi clarity. If you're looking for a Mellotron library, this one's a hard deal to beat. https://www.muze.shop/en/index.php?route=product/product&path=72&product_id=93Paj 8^)

Paj, I just installed and played around with the xylophone. It has some very interesting sounds but the interface is not for the timed! It took me a while to figure it out plus the docs are almost worthless.
I also have the mellotron and pianos. I pick them up when they are less than $10 USD. I agree about the mellotron. It is an excellent emulation and like you stated it is better than the much more expensive emulations.

I certainly wouldn't put a real xylophone in the studio. Those things require sticks to play. You have idea what musicians might do with those thinks.... LOL
Just joking, Mario...Looks like a good deal

That is exactly what happened to me when I tried to play my glockenspiel!

Mario: Yeah, the Xylo sounds better when you start adding mics (note that that substantially increases the sample load). Also, for some reason, might have to use Kontakt's "Reload All Samples" feature on the initial load.
RE: Mello Even without legato, I found the woodwind patches (without the pads) in Mello to be memorable. Also to note when you're using this library: The backend (spanner) is not locked, so you can tweak things without having the GUI disappear. I've adjusted attacks (for "phlegato"), stretched samples to match displayed (blue) key ranges with no issues. Note that, if you want to access the arp/sequencer/etc without locking out the GUI, you should use an Empty tab in the Script Editor display/button (I leave the newly-created arp in the Script Editor display/button "on" when I exit the back end so I can just click on the spanner to have the arp screen immediately display). Also note that, whenever you make tweaks in the back end, you may not get a "Really replace?" message with a subsequent nki Drag'N'Drop onto the GUI.
