Hello:
Since updating to build 299 and applying the May 3 RealTracks and Real Drums updates, #590 Banjo will not play. #589 and #591 both will play, but not #590.
Can anyone duplicate this situation?

Just to clarify - does "will not play" apply to the Audition button on the RT selection page?
Does it apply to a track inserted via the chord window? At what point in the BIAB process of generation does this seem to occur.
I have yet to install 299, so I'm curious. Have you tried this from within RB?

Hi John,
Try reloading #590 again - I had a similar problem and put it down to a faulty/incomplete download
Also have had problems with updating with tracks frozen and by unfreezing and regenerating overcame that one

Jazzman, yes I reinstalled the entire set 33 and that made no difference.
I have not frozen any of these tracks.
Ian, Yes, I can audition # 590 in in the RealTracks picker but it won't play as a RealTrack in BIAB.
Also, #590 will not generate a RealTrack in Real Band.

Yikes,
I tried it and it's not working here either. I tried generating a track with it on a song in RB. It acts like its generating but actually generates nothing but one half bar in the middle of the song then stops completely. Weird.
I tried it several times with the same result. Must need a fix.

Editing this to add that I am also running xp sp3 with latest RB/RT/BB updates.

Hi John
As you had no improvement from my suggestions I have tried the #590 Banjo both on the Melody track from the RealTracks picker window and Soloist from the Soloist window and both work perfectly ok here - so it is strange that two have problems

Do you have build 299 and have you installed all of the May 3, 2010 RealTracks and Real Drums updates?
#590 used to work for me fine, but it is not working now after the latest build and the May 3 RT updates.
Also, I'm on XP sp3. I don't know if that would make a difference.

Hi John,
Yes I am up to date with everything
It might be worth downloading all those latest update files again with with all virus/pop up type programs off until after the downloads and installation are complete
Even consider unistalling the problem file(s) before you re-install

Like both of you, I cannot get RT #590 to generate in BIAB (I have build 299).
As mentioned, #589 and #591 are fine. I went to RB and, initially #590 wouldn't generate. I then tried #591 (which was ok), erased that track and then tried #590 again. It worked. I went back to BIAB and tried again but still no luck. (In BIAB, volumes and everything are fine. #590 goes through the motions of generating but nothing eventuates.)

Yes, that particular RealTracks variation (590) is affected, and won't play now. It just affects that one RealTracks (a banjo variation) We'll fix that in the next patch. If you want a fix sooner than that, you can download this file, and unzip the 2 files (rbanj003.st2 and rbanj003.xt2) to your c:\bb folder, overwriting the files that are there already. http://nn.pgmusic.com/pgfiles/jazzu/misc/rbanj003.zip
