This is a beautiful song! Your vocal shines as always and it really carries the song! It's got a great classic folk/rock sound that would have fit right in Jim Croce's repertoire! Stellar mix also!

As a reference (since Ray was asking for the original embellished notes) I thought it was a nice idea to add the first version I did way back in 1996.
I played the arrangement on my Roland E16 keyboard. The piano track slightly resembles the original guitar arrangement that Wim wrote (which I still can't play properly):

Hi Rob, man you did a great job with this. As always, a great mix - but IMHO the vocal on this is really what makes this song shine. Superb job! You may or may not have already tried, I wonder what it would sound with some light drums or other percussion, though I'd hate to lose that Jim Croce sound. Thanks for sharing!
You are absolutely right about possible percussion. I did a song with the very same style a couple of years ago where I added a metronome tick. The metronome really shined in its simplicity and gave the song just what it needed. Sadly, I could not find it anymore...

Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass.
