For those looking for info on how to record over just a specific section: when you hit the record audio button in Band-in-a-Box, there is a "punch-in" record option with 4 boxes. Those four boxes represent chorus, bar, beat, and tick. So you can specify where you want to do a punch-in recording for your audio. Both MIDI and Audio have the option to choose what chorus and bar you want to start recording from as well.
