Hi Marty,
The UMA 25 S has two modes, Stand Alone, which is what it sounds like you are in, and then it has USB mode, where it is connected to the computer.

In Stand Alone mode, you can control the SD2 directly, otherwise you will need to have a MIDI interface connected to the computer which goes to the SD2.

On page 37 of the SD2 manual is a list of all the General MIDI patches, and then on page 38-40, there are a list of the additional sounds, also known as 'higher banks.

On the U25S, you can press the PRESET button, and then press the + or - button under the display to move up through the available patches. That will change the sounds coming from the SD2. To access the sounds on pages 38-40 of the SD2 manual, you will need to change the VALUE of the Bank controller. Bank is CC #00, and the value can go from 0-127. The General MIDI set is 0, and the others are 1, 10, and 2. You can select the Live Drum banks on CC #00 Value 4.

Read page 11 in the U25S manual, pages 14 - 16, and the addendum sheets.

Also read this: http://www.catsmeowcafe.com/patchesini.htm This will give you an idea of how to create a Patches.ini file for PowerTracks Pro Audio and Real Band, but also has some information on Bank and BankLSB, which you need to know.

I'm blessed watching God do what He does best. I've had a few rough years, and I'm still not back to where I want to be, but I'm on the way and things are looking far better now than what they were!
