Hi there,
Just started laying out the chords for a few of my songs in biab, all midi except realdrums. When trying to save a number of times biab freezes and I have to force exit from it loosing the project. It has saved successfully a number of times too.
I have win 7 32 bit all midi routed through the vsc/dxi. I have the latest build 299
Anyone else have similar problems?

You're going to have to use another soft synth other the VSC. Try the Coyote. Later, Ray

Hi Joe,
Edirol VSC/DXi should work fine with 32-bit Windows (XP, Vista and 7). It could be that your problems is one of the User Account Control (UAC). Try turning off the UAC under Control Panel >> User Accounts and see if that helps. If it doesn't, simply reactivate the UAC. (You will need to reboot to bring changes to the UAC into play.)
Are you running BIAB from the internal or external hard drive?
Other things worth considering are...
1. Defragmenting the hard drive.
2. Checking that the drive that BIAB is on has sufficient space.

Hi again,
Thanks for replies. Yes running from internal drive, UAC is turned off as I don't like it running.
Will do a fatcory reset to see if that helps. I have plenty of space on the drive so not that. Its a new computer just a few mths old.

Just done the factory reset. I notice that the chord symbols are now about half the size they were before in the chord input window, have unfolded to one big chorus so maybe thats normal.

Hi Joe,
When you unfold to a single chorus, the view re-scales so that the maximum number of lines are fitted onto the screen (at least that's what happens for me).
With your other problem, do you have other DAWs open and running ASIO when the freezing occurs?

Hi Noel,
I had nothing else open Noel except band in a box. I have returned to factory settings and so far so good. The only thing that I had, was the m-audio fast track pro on, but its driver wasn't selected in band in a box.
