Yow John,

Good to hear from you. We live right there by the RIVER WALK in the HISTORIC DISTRICT in UPTOWN, COLUMBUS. What an amazing area...very nice, quiet............great for music creativity. Every Wednesday evening in UPTOWN, COLUMBUS, there are "live" giggs at a resturant/ bar/ club area called "THE LOFT." You must come check it out some time. At times, when I need a moment of inspiration, I take my acoustic guitar and go sit on a bench on the River Walk and "HEY PRESTO.......................all of a sudden, I can come up with a new original song..........lol !!! Great to know about your Columbus, GA, connection. I have a music teacher friend of mine who teaches there at Hardaway High School. She has a Masters in Music Education and plays bass at my church. I am thrilled to read your reply.

I am a Yamaha Motif ES fanatic and have been using my Motif to sequence and edit for 3 years now. I use Power Track off and on but a friend advised me to start using Power Tracks (piano roll feature) via Midi hooked up to my Motif thru my Lexicon Omega interface to edit. I was told that life will be much easier editing my notes and even sequencing via my software instead of Hardware. I have the latest Power Tracks 2010 version 4. I am a newbie to this method. I also have band in a box 2008 megapak which is pretty cool. I checked out tutorial # 15 under band in a box helps menu and read up on the piano roll vibe but................I cannot understand it. I really need a simple tutorial on this Piano roll and or if any one can break this down for me, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks so much for your reply and your help. I will be looking forward to you hitting me back on here soon re the piano roll vibe.....as soon as you can. Any time you are in columbus, holla at me. Herbiemusic@yahoo.com is my regular email address. Contact me on here for my Tel #.

Thanks much. God bless.
