I should take a picture of the 'shrine' downtown to Dr. Banting, who discovered insulin. The Diabetes Society runs it as a museum, he practiced regular medicine here for a number of years before moving to Toronto.

Thousands of people who are dependent on insulin trek to see the place every year, I would guess it means a lot to people who would be dead had he not spent his waking hours trying to find a cure.

The insulin is not a cure, but it's helped millions of people live long and prosperous lives.
