Smooth Ride

A quick throw-together I did a few days ago. Hope it sounds okay. The drums are a bit busier than what I wanted, but I couldn't find any others I liked better.

Ah, now that's a smooth ride with some very interesting turns, Alan. It's as if those unusual changes direct passengers to the many wonderful sites as you drive them by. You used a great bunch of tracks and mixed them to a pleasing finish. So good. So smooth.

Enjoy whatever happens!

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Hi Bob ...

Thanks so much. The lead guitar was just the 3rd or 4th track I previewed. I didn't check out many more after that. Glad you enjoyed it!

HI Marty ...

Glad you enjoyed the "side trips"! Except for the drums, most of the tracks were relatively quick to find. Thanks for the kind words - much appreciated.

Hi Floyd ...

Many thanks for those really nice words. You already know the archaic methods I use. Thus, I employ the mastering offered by Soundcloud. It has helped to make my mixes sound better. Thanks again.

Hello BT ...

Many thanks for the encouraging and kind comments. I appreciate them very much. The strings were the last track I added. I truied to mix then so they coiuld be lightly heard. Thanks for noticing and commenting on them.

Great tune Alan, and I agree with everybody on that mix - perfection. I really liked the guitar you chose, but all the other instruments helped to make it shine. The chord changes were terrific, and the chimes at the end were a sweet addition.

An enjoyable listen. You mentioned strings but I couldn't hear them. My hearing's probably shot. I'll try again later on my best cans.

Alan,

It's a very elaborate chord progression, but the flow of the song is very smooth.
This song is perfect for a driving date.
His solo guitar choices are always very skillful and I am always impressed.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best Regards.

HI Bob!

I'm glad the listen for enjoyable for you. The strings are just barely loud enough to hear them and they only come in on the chorus. Thanks so much for taking the time to listen.

The drums are fine, but I did want the organist to rest now and then and give the guitarist more room to shine:)

All in all a very smooth ride, especially for a 'throw-together' track.
