Great write, well sung... I've said that about a lot of songs, but with you it's that much more.

All of this well done, but the harmonies are especially sweet at the end. I envy how natural your lyrics are!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Greg,

Very nice melody and chord progression!
It's a romantic and melancholic song.
When I hear it with your vocals, it touches my heart even more.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Greg,

First of all, your songs need to bumped to the top often because they are some of the best stuff presented here! Your vocals are always pro-level!

This one is a thing of beauty! Love every aspect of it from the wonderful vocal performace (and background vox) to instrument solo you selected! That little walk down section in the chorus is very effective!

It's another high-quality song Greg and I enjoyed it!

Thanks, Torrey

A complete package very well done.
The only things that stopped me were the rhyme of

"Still not quite feelin’ like myself

Stores have costumes on the shelves"
BUT since you don't revisit that chorus lyric I think you can get away with it.

and the "nah nah nahs",
With such a good story I heard them as a missed opportunity.

Those things aside - it's a cracker.

Cheers

More quality writing from you Greg. I really liked everything about this. You set a standard that many should be proud to match. A big effort clearly went into every part of this. Excellent mix, clear vocals and the backing harmonies are perfectly placed. Every lyric sits perfectly right throughout the song, including your obvious decision towards the closing to introduce exception from having to have a perfect rhyming line, and cleverly using 'Nah-nah-nah-nah', clearly creating an inference to etc, etc, etc about Seattle.

Reminds me of your composition 'Sausalito' from several years back.

Again you proved that no out of tune screaming is needed to deliver quality music.

Another gem from you.

What a terrific write! Lyrical gems abound. A totally enjoyable listen. Well done.

I spent some time in Seattle myself, but it was Jan/Feb:)

Greg,

I enjoyed everything about your song, arrangement, and vocals. Your piano part is rich and fits so well as the central element of the song. Glad you, like me, are back here posting.
