Loved the vocals and the lyrics are something we all can relate.
Professional in every way.

Absolutely great Floyd ! Very pro all the way.
Are those bass 8th notes in the chorus?
https://soundcloud.com/user-646279677BiaB 2025 Windows For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

FJ, I almost missed it all, glad that caught it on time:) Very cool opening. Lyrics and vocals are top notch. Masterful phrasing. Interesting combination of synth instruments and that funky bass. To my ears drums are a little hot on some parts, but it is a matter of taste. Overall, fantastic effort. Thank you for sharing.
Misha.

Floyd, I really love this as I said in my other communication. Excellent production. Makes me want to do some more poking around with loops! Great job! Thanks, David. Looking forward to your Loop Adventures! Really cool intro. This sounded so good on the monitors. Loved the production. Super vocal and lyric as always. Did I say I really loved the production. Really well done.... Thanks, Scott... My word. The master of country songs at work.
"The verdict is in" = trademark Floyd inflection :-)
Contemporary country, sung by a far more mature voice than is usually the case in these songs (at least, the ones I've heard by other artists, so far). This is Floyd Jane showing what he can do :-) - and boy, what a comprehensive catalogue of skills that one is :-) VERY impressed ... you've done it again ... a virtuosic display of Floyd, from the complex (to me, at least) production, to the vocal delivery, to those yours-alone inflections on different words and notes that I enjoy so much.
Hats off. Appreciated, James.... RayC < Lots of contemporary production bits which make a wonderful backing BUT the foundation of this is a classic story in a classic song sung with a classic voice. >
Further, as RnAM stated, I'm not sure this is contemporary country as I can't think of any recent artist or song that holds a candle against this piece. The sophistication of the lyrics alone belies the contemporary moniker. This song is artistry at its best and stands alone at the moment. If this work ever was in the hands of 70's power singers the likes of Gary Puckett or Dennis Yost, you'd get what I mean. This is a timeless work, one of your best.
Charlie I really appreciate all of that, Charlie... Another really great song by Floyd. Well done. Teunis - so nice of you to drop in! Thanks...

Hi floyd.
This is first-class-and-then-some listening.
The song, the lyrics, your writing, your arranging and producing and your performing are superb. Every time I listen to your work, I'm left full of admiration for what you achieve.
My favourite lines were "blinded by what I wasn't looking for" and "drowing in despair and shattered illusions".
You have that 'master's touch' when it comes to creating fine music.
All the very best, Noel

WOW!
“a fool seldom knows what a fool he's been
until it's far too late and the verdict is in”
The lyric is so good and the imagery from daily life just grabs the listener in how profound the absence of those little things can be.
Your vocal, no surprise, is killer and could “rip the paint right off your heart.” (Janice looked at me and said, “just listen to his voice!”) The prosody is excellent also.
You seem to effortlessly master any genre with your selection of tracks and your production.
Our hats are off to you, mr. jane!
J&B Y'all are too kind... Hi floyd jane,
Very captivating sentimental song. Your lyrics are well written. You manage to make us feel your emotions. It's well done. I appreciated.
Kindly regard Derochette alias JaniJackFlash Thanks, Derochette... Floyd,

Another really good sounding tune from you! Enjoyed it!
Thanks, Torrey Much appreciated, Torrey....

Another fine one, Floyd. "What kind of moonshine have the stars been drinking". And plenty of other quotable lines, as always. Excellent vocal and you've certainly achieved a 'contemporary pop country' sound. Glad I didn't miss this one. Regards, Leon

Hi Floyd Really good Absolute Top Song Sounds great And you sing it incredibly well Really a great work Floyd Many greetings Andi ;-) Thanks, Andi! Hi floyd,
Great intro! One of the best I've heard on here.
Very catchy song, and so well produced.
I much prefer modern country to traditional and you nailed it I think, well done! Thanks, Dave - appreciate that... floyd,
Great Contemporary Pop Country! The arrangement at the beginning of the song is very nice. Those RealTracks are just perfect for this song. Vocals are wonderful as always. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Professional in every way. Nice of you to say, Mario... Absolutely great Floyd ! Very pro all the way.
Are those bass 8th notes in the chorus?
Thanks, BT. Not sure what those are - I would guess they are 16ths? The Bass RTs were a slower tempo than the song, so they were "busy" - which is what I wanted in the chorus. I picked through several generations of that RT to find the busiest sections I could find and cut-and-pasted them. If you listen closely, you'll find a repeating pattern that I picked out and used over and over...
Misha. Thanks, Misha. I would agree that there are parts of the "drums" that are louder than they should be... if I ever do more with this (put it on an "album", I'll re-mix to address that). Hi floyd.
