Andi,
A timely post as I was wondering just the other day where you may have wandered off too. The song is a good rocker. Love the opening which sets the stage for the song that follows. Your vocal sits nicely on this one . . . Wolfgang does some terrific guitar work. Strikes me as something Poison or Ratt might have done in the 80’s. Good stuff!
Hope all is well in your world—
Deej

This is a really cool intro...love it! Nothing to complain about, good song, good arrangement and good mix.
An interesting idea would be to do this as a duet with a female singer, where everyone sings about their point of view. Like the duets in the style of Meat Loaf...

Andi,
Clever opening.
The acoustic followed by the BIG ROCK sound really gets your attention.
Excellent chugging guitars. Drums sound great. Bass, too. Good vocals. Packed with emotion. Sitting well in the mix. Terrific BAND. Cool guitar solo... A solid mix.
This really ROCKS!
Enjoyed the listen.

Superb rock song reflecting the 1980s sound. Cool opening!
The bass and drums poushed this along witgh a hard-driving beat. Perfect for the genre.

Hi Andy, Aaaaah, that's why we 've missed you for some time. Well the intro makes it clear it immediately. Great rock song nevertheless. So you see, there's always something good coming from something bad If you sing songs like this a lot, you'll get over it soon. My mother always said when a relationship of mine broke up: "Don't worry, there are more men than churches." The same goes for girls/women. Go on. Anne-Marie Anne-Marie

So nice to hear a really good rocker here, wish there were more of them. I read your lyrics first and was expecting something contemplative, but was not disappointed in the least when I heard it was a rocker. Everything is perfect on this, no problems that I heard but maybe it was one verse too long. Maybe not, I'm still thinking. Great work either way!

Super intro.
Boston type acoustic to heavier sounds after the vocal arguing intro.
A super rocker with some great lyrics.
Outstanding drums, lead guitar, and vocals

Great rocking song, I was also expecting more ballad type of a song after reading the lyrics, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear something that wasn't musically dwelling in the past but marching strongly forward after the short gentle intro. Very good sound and good hard rock vocals, personal emotions are clearly present.

this definitely should be on commercial rock radio.
some really nice "song hooks".
maybe add some rock screaming at end ?? 'we wanted to touch the sky'. cute ending.
nice double leads. i can tell this was lots of work.

Hi Andi,
I understood you were away for some time too. Well, your song was a very pleasant surprise to me, except for the subject. Very nice rocker, a strong build up in a clever composition. I enjoyed it a lot!
Your vocals support this kind of rock songs very well.
Funny thing was the arguing in the intro. I'm lucky I haven't have this for a long, long time ;-) The moment the needle hit the record I had to think of Stefan Nachtheim (he was also on the forum, but not anymore for some time). He used the same fragment in a nice song of his.
Have a nice day, Hans

Andi,
Very creative intro! Relationship troubles can be such a sad thing to deal with! At least you were able to channel those things into your art! Nice work!
Thanks, Torrey

Hi Andy,
Great intro! Very well done and very creative.
Good rock song, your vocal works well and a tip of the hat to Wolfgang for the guitar work, I dig the double leads.
Good one!

HI, Andi. We spoke of this song a lot, but I never mentioned how much I like the melody. I like the way it rises and falls, especially in the verses. The chorus is your signature sing-along part, that always grabs the listener and brings them into the fun. It seems a sad song, but it's conceding the consequences, as if the singer is admitting the end and seeing it as a new launching pad for future attempts at reaching the sky. And your emotion in the vocal brings that out so well. It's one of those blameless endings in a relationship that realizes there wasn't enough fuel to gain altitude. Such a good song, Andi, and the mix you were worried about is perfect.
