Some interesting information that you might not be interested in: Why that weird song title? Well, a while back I saw a question/answer segment on the Ellen show where Taylor Swift used the phrase "like a raccoon in a dumpster" (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoAQv4kRwZQ&t=23s ), and I liked it so much that I added it to my "phrases I want to use in one of my songs someday" list. I had to google what a raccoon was first, though,
Fast forward to 2022, I saw a talk by Linda Perry at ASCAP (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJwE8Pf8HBo&t=67s ) where she mentioned that Rihanna's song "Umbrella" has a weird title and song lyric, but that's the one thing that make this song stand out and that sticks in your mind. It "clicked" and I wrote an entire song around that phrase
So the thanks go to Taylor Swift, Linda Perry and especially our own Marty BabuMusic for proofreading the lyrics and general support. And also a big thank you to the guys over at the songwriting forum. The chorus changes key, and the guys there helped me find my way back to the original key.
Oh, and as a "thank you" to PG-Music, there's a product placement in the video
The video isn't too sophisticated this time, I'm a songwriter first and foremost and videos are very time consuming. They are only there anyway to prevent you from falling asleep while listening to my songs.

You never fail to amaze me with the fantastic work you do with the synth voice. Eleanor rocks! The vocal is just amazing, as is Eleanor's appearance. It's easy to forget there's a truly excellent song, too. Really nice work on the music, the video and the synth. You do this very, very convincingly. Great work in all aspects. Loved it!
Brian...that was cool...you (well I suppose Taylor Swift) have invented a new American colloquialism "like a racoon in a dumpster...I can't wait to use it in a conversation! this IA music is so intriguing and you have mastered it...all that being said...it was a really clever write and nice pop melody...Taylor might sing it if you send to to her and give cowriting status! Best regards...Dan

You are who you are because you do what you do because of what you believe.
The hook, "like a raccoon in a dumpster," is brilliant, and you've made it work incredibly well with lyrics. I admire your creativity enormously.
Because my visits to Users Showcase have been haphazard over the last couple of years, I have not met Eleanor before. My gosh... What a singer! What a vocaloid! You've really managed to control electronic voice production incredibly well. I know nothing about this aspect of music, but it seems to me that it is not as easy as your Youtube clip makes it appear.
I tip my metaphorical hat to you. Every way I look at this song and your music video, I'm super impressed!
Cool song. A terrific Pop sound. Nice chugging guitars. Amazing work with the vocal synths. Good mix (I thought the drums could be just slightly louder). The video is good, too.
Terrific work again with the synth voices and the video! I thought the choruses were perfect but there were a few (very few) stilted lines in the verses. I guess I am getting demanding now that you've become so good with the synth voices. I'll bet the average person wouldn't know the difference with this song. Keep it up, you're blazing a new trail in music and it's great to hear how it's progressing.

B.D. The hook line is great, of course ( I never go anywhere without my song lines notebook-there are endless nuggets to be gleaned from an ordinary day!), and the song you made from it irresistably enjoyable. Simply excellent synth-pop or whatever the genre. Love the vocals and the video does the job. Well done.
Nice story for the title, boring titles do not invite for listening, but yours definitely does. You have used that starting point to create a very catchy pop song which is not a huge mess Good work with the lead vocal and the backing vocals, mixed also well. The guitars sound great. Some variation in playing could add more interest, for example, held chords or instrument breaks. Very enjoyable song, reminds me of The Go-Go's.
Really good tune . . . man, that vocaloid is just so well done. Terrific harmonies to boot. Got a cool 80’s vibe to this and a great hook. Very impressive tune!
I really like the song and I'm quite impressed with the production of the song and video. Excellent work.
Subject matter is close to my roots. I grew on an island community near Charleston SC and spent much of my time hunting, fishing, and trapping and raising Raccoons. Many joyful memories.
Here's a photo from my younger days up a tree playing with one of my tame raccoons that you'll notice I have a dog collar and leash on her.

Thanks so much for your nice feedback, Dan. I think Taylor's vocal range would work for the song, even though she usually sings more in the higher registers.

Great stuff! Noel
Thank you so much for your kind feedback, Noel. I think I need to print out your posting for my wife when she doubts my songs again
I know what a raccoon is, but I had to look up the word "dumpster". Yes, that's where you can find them! What a great composition. The vocal synths are amazing, you know how to work them. The music is outstanding and a lovely video! Very good job.

Thanks for listening and your nice feedback, Floyd.
And for your good ears: I usually start a mix with drums and bass, and at some point in the mix I messed up the drum levels and got so used to it that I never questioned it again. And "slightly" is an understatement, because it took a whopping 3 dB to get the drums back in the right place in the mix. And another dB for the bass to keep the right balance.
I love this forum
I uploaded a corrected version to SoundCloud, which I think sounds much better:
This is really good work! The use of the synthesized vocals are super! This tech is leaving me behind! I guess I'm going to have to learn a little about it! The song is really catchy!
