WOW what a masterpiece!
Loved the vocals and the lyrics are something we all can relate.
Professional in every way.
Nice of you to say, Mario...
Absolutely great Floyd ! Very pro all the way.
Are those bass 8th notes in the chorus?
Thanks, BT. Not sure what those are - I would guess they are 16ths? The Bass RTs were a slower tempo than the song, so they were "busy" - which is what I wanted in the chorus. I picked through several generations of that RT to find the busiest sections I could find and cut-and-pasted them. If you listen closely, you'll find a repeating pattern that I picked out and used over and over...
FJ,
I almost missed it all, glad that caught it on time:)
Very cool opening. Lyrics and vocals are top notch. Masterful phrasing. Interesting combination of synth instruments and that funky bass. To my ears drums are a little hot on some parts, but it is a matter of taste. Overall, fantastic effort. Thank you for sharing.
Misha.
Thanks, Misha. I would agree that there are parts of the "drums" that are louder than they should be... if I ever do more with this (put it on an "album", I'll re-mix to address that).
Hi floyd.
This is first-class-and-then-some listening.
The song, the lyrics, your writing, your arranging and producing and your performing are superb. Every time I listen to your work, I'm left full of admiration for what you achieve.
My favourite lines were "blinded by what I wasn't looking for" and "drowing in despair and shattered illusions".
You have that 'master's touch' when it comes to creating fine music.
All the very best,
Noel
Always great to have you drop in, Noel. Thanks for the great review....
Another fine one, Floyd.
"What kind of moonshine have the stars been drinking". And plenty of other quotable lines, as always. Excellent vocal and you've certainly achieved a 'contemporary pop country' sound. Glad I didn't miss this one.
Regards,
Leon
Good to see ya, Leon! Thanks!!!
