I have been away for a month and also had some family issues that have kept me away from music for a while so no new song yet. Appologies for my absence.
So just to start getting back into the swing, I don't think I posted this one from 3 years ago. The idea came from something my father used to say to me.

Your dad is a wise man, Vic. Hope all is good for you now. Missed you. Two words have such an impact. Prefect harmony choices. Man, that chorus is inspiring. The lyrics are really good; the message is string and clear. I like the banjo choice. The fiddle too.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Vic ...

Good to have you back posting again. Really good song - has a modern Americana-Folk sound to my ears. That fiddle really earned its place - great choice and execution. Inspiring lyric and well presented. Nice job, Vic.

Hello Vic,

You came back with a hell of a song, wow!!!
Along with your beautiful dark voice this is surely a strong, but sensitive song, embedded in a very nice rhythm!
And what good lyrics too.

I listened severall times, in fact I am still listening to this song. Can't get enough of it...

Hans

Wow, what a powerful two-note hook! Grabbed me from the beginning and demanded to be played again. And again. Great work on this, a real winner for sure.

Vic,

It's good to go back and resurrect great tunes like this one! I love every part of it...vocals, instrumentation, mix, all of it! Hopefully you'll find some time to develop new material!

Thanks, Torrey

Nice arrangement Vic, good phrasing in the vocal too.
There's a little sibilant stuff that pokes out with a vocal so forward in the mix.
The fiddle is ace.

Cheers

Strong intro, and solid chorus. Nice vocal as well.

The fiddle sounds great here as well.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Misha.
I like the "folk twist" and have always liked a lot of folk music.

Thanks for the comments.

Glad to be halfway back. I'm still chasing my mojo.

Americana/folk is what I try to aim for so I'm glad you think it worked.
