Many thanks guys for the listen and useful comments, glad you enjoyed it. "Glue" is a unique and interesting way of looking at the bass. And I'll have to explore loudness meters to prevent future mess-ups.
Hey, hope you realize my term "glue" is a compliment. I played upright bass for decades in bluegrass bands at festivals and clubs. The bass guy in that context (and with no drums) provides the foundation or as I called it "glue."  Bud Oh yeah Bud, I get the compliment totally, many thanks. I never heard that term in this context before. Seems like I'm learning left and right these days. Never heard "motif" in a musical context either until recently. An upright bass player with no drums to lock in with? That's impressive.
