Hi all, I wasn't sure whether to post this or not as I ended up only using BIAB for a background keyboard as I couldn't find the style that I wanted, so I used real musicians instead.

The vocal is by Justin from the Fiverr website who I've worked with before, and I also outsourced the final mix/master.

I appreciate not everyone would agree with the sentiments expressed as it is a controversial subject.

I also made a lyric video with relevant memes that I found online.

Cheers,
David

Regardless of whether or not I or others agree with the topic (I personally like to keep political or similar discussions out of the forum), it's a good song, well produced and the video highlights the lyrics very well.

Good job!

Really good arrangement and excellent performances.
The lyrics fold back on themselves in a few spots - reference to the aged being one.
The message is clear though proposing capital punishment for governments, the great reset, demonizing groups are all just a stones throw away from Q tropes or worse.
We're having a royal commission into the pandemic management of the govt. as well as instituting an Anti Corruption Commission as we progress from that crisis deeper into the climate one.
Terrific package though not one from which I would consume the contents.
I'm completely fine with you putting your case though..I've done it in the forum a few times...or more:

David,
The message doesn't resonate with me, but musically very cool. Excellent orchestration. Infectious groove and ACE vocals by Justin. Thank you for sharing.

I was pretty excited to see that Justin of fiverr was singing for you. I've wanted to use him before but he is too expensive for me. Not that he isn't worth every penny. Everything about this is very, very good except the prosody of the lyrics. I find that happens a lot when songwriters try to make a topical vocabulary fit into the meter of a song. And I think that's what happened here with this song. Also, the hook, "Is It Hanged or Hung" left me a bit flat, to be honest. But everything else was very well done and you deserve a lot of credit for that.

Hi David and Justin
I got some pretty heavy comments for my Covid song (Divided By Lies).
But still, you can't put up with it all and one song can go a long way
Your song is really well done
Lyrics, Music, vocals and video - all very very good
Great collaboration !!!
Many greetings
Andi ;-)

The song says those who promoted the COVID vaccine should be hung.

"Controversial" isn't the word for it.

It's a call to violence, plain and simple.

+1 David for your bravery, a trait that is all too absent today.

Regarding "Even though the science was unsound"
Hmmm, since djames thinks he knows something that the brightest scientists worldwide doesn't know, to start with, perhaps he could share what academic and career history credentials he has . . .

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Cool song. The mix is good. The vocal is perfect. I like the hook. Your controversial lyrics are also good. I can answer the question from an English teacher perspective, but...

Now THAT could be controversial. We'd, likely, get into the English English versus American English thing if we came from different perspectives though I suspect we'd both agree that one is an adjective and the other, a past tense verb.

Hello,

With only one Band-in-Box track, which is not referenced, there really should be no conundrum as to whether you should have posted the tune: a clear no.

At the very minimum, to display the remotest sense of sincerity, please abide by the following:

"If Band-in-a-Box or RealBand have been used, please provide information as to which styles or RealTracks were used. (tip: In Band-in-a-Box, the Song Memo contains the names of the RealTracks used, and you can copy/paste from that.)
List other programs used in the production (Sonar, Cubase etc.)
Describe what effects were used in the production (reverb, auto-tune etc)."

I think that's a little harsh.
Several regular regular posters give minimal detail on their BIAB components. Occasionally folk give none. As this seems to be the 1st post from this person a little latitude might be considered an act of sincerity regarding an interest in posters abiding by "the rules".
I posted a song that I'd written with BIAB but the end result contained no RT/Midi etc.
If your interest/ negative attention was secured by way of the narrative of the song then your response might even be hypocritical or very selective at least.

Thank you all for listening and the feedback, my main concern had been if the vocal was loud enough but that hasn't seemed to be the case which is great.

Many thanks,
David

Hi RayC, thank you. I wasn't too sure what "The lyrics fold back on themselves in a few spots - reference to the aged being one." meant.

Regards the message, many are asking for tribunals & trials, calling for Nuremburg 2 etc so Royal Commissions may be a start. There are a lot of questions to be answered. The Great Reset seems to a real thing, and I think the unvaxxed know a bit about the demonizing of groups :-) Some people wanted them locked up - and worse. One placard reads "Kill the unvaxxed"!!

"Terrific package though not one from which I would consume the contents" - beautifully put, thank you for that :-)

Hi Misha, thanks, really glad you liked it despite a different view, yes Justin did a cracking job - as always!

Thanks TuneMonger, regards the cost it was more than what I wanted to spend but I felt the song was worth trying to do something with, so bit the bullet.

A lot of the lyric was inspired by things I'd seen online and I just wrote what came - I had a rhythmic melody and most of the words seemed to fit so went with it. Is it hanged or hung was actually from a minor disagreement on a forum post I had seen.

Hi Andi and thanks for that, yes it can be hard when you go against the flow but you're right - one song can go a long way, and can make a difference, even if to know that you're not alone!

Hi David, sorry you took it that way, it's certainly not meant to be a call to violence. I think a lot of people believe that there should be trials and if people are guilty then the punishment should fit the crime.

Thanks Bass Thumper, that's very kind.

Academically, 2 failed O levels and a 50 yard swimming certificate. One of which I just made up. No, I meant the other brightest scientists in the world, the ones who were shut down because they didn't agree that everyone should be jabbed.

Hi Marty, thanks for that. I still don't know which is right! I've tried it in various sentences, in different tenses and they both sound good to me :-)

Hi Tom, apologies for the omission - for the background keyboard I used 2406:Synth, Rhythm from _NEWWAVE.STY. I did also use 3627:Guitar, Electric in the same style to give the guitarist the feel I wanted for one of the tracks - a sort of Andy Summers (Police) sound which helped as well.

No idea on effects used as I outsourced the final stage.

In what world is hanging not an act violence?

What your song states can only happen via extra-judicial means.

You write here about "trials", but there's no mention of that in your song, only of "hang" and "hung".

You write here "if people are guilty", but your song states unequivocally that these people are guilty.

As for the "punishment should fit the crime", hanging in the UK has been abolished since 1969, and capital punishment since 1998. The UK is a signee of the 13th Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights, which prohibits the restoration of the death penalty.

Your song is literally a call to violence.

The first thing I thought was the vocals were too low in the mix, you want to hear these lyrics clearly.
I think the name is prophetic. If we go back in history we see propaganda sweep whole countries away to do pure evil. If you spoke out it was the end of you, but then what happened in the end, the name of this song ! to those that caused the problem and those in the media that pushed the propaganda narrative. It's just happening because leaders are following a global evil cabal.
I have zero to do with politics.
It's no coincidence that a US president is got rid of by dubious means then since then everything is going down the drain world wide and on the brink of WWIII. All that's happened over these last few years is to wake people up. Pipelines cancelled and blown up.
What's going on now around the world is a waking up, a Near Death Experience on a massive global scale.
I don't need no waking up, I had my Near Death Experience 32 years ago, my sensitivity level is on 100 not the normal 10. One thing that is guaranteed to work without fail 100% to let you see the truth is get out of your body then you are not accessing all the information stored in you brain from school, university, media etc.. when you are out of that brain you have an expanse of consciousness and understanding. You don't come back from something like that and get your information from CNN, you see from a trillion miles away what the story is.
I'm sorry if I offend anyone but everything that I have been through would be useless and pointless if I don't say anything. How many of us if we were back in the late 1930's in Europe now would be following the main street narrative or would we be speaking out and saying such n such should happen to them. The US fought along with England and Russia to defeat the N@zis, they didn't side with N@zis to fight Russia.

Now is an important time to discern the truth to lift humanities consciousness up to a higher level.
