I very often have a similar problem to this with with the drum track. I get both the RealDrums and a MIDI drums. For me I just hear a slightly doubled drums from the second note of the count-in onwards and I've learned to just ignore it, but SBM obviously can't ignore what he has. For me it also goes away if I turn off MIDI.
I'd had thought that perhaps it was a problem only with my system, but now I think it may be more common and I think it is very likely a bug.
A work-around might be to set the MIDI instrument to "Select MIDI Instrument (patch) -> "Select no MIDI Patch".
I have not yet tried that work-around as my machine is not presently having the problem.
Possibly this happens only with some styles/RealTracks? I may explore further.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.
