I watched the video. I saw smooth playback. I have no problem playing it. The problem arises when it stops. When I stop, SCALER causes BIAB to be unresponsive.
Are you using the SCALER VST2 version? Or VST3?
Newest version of Scaler and .dll file which is Same as Reaper loads. Otherwise, I have not yet seen a crash and I have been at it for 45 minutes.
Rarely crashes. My situation here is that BIAB will be unresponsive. I found the crux of the problem. As long as I set SCALER as default synth. I don't do anything, I just click the song to stop, and the button is pressed to stop. I made a video, you should pay attention to it. If you click Pause, it will also stop. Just no response.
It will be fine in a few seconds. This is not the case with other VSTs.
If you knew it long ago, please don't laugh at my stupidity.
You are very clearly not stupid.
I suspect that most of us don't use Sforzando. I was unaware of the keyboard on it. Good find.
Something that your image shows is that it is displaying a particular "voicing" of an ordinary C major chord and I have often wondered if the different possible voicings may be one of the things that sometimes make it hard for you to understand the chords.
I think sforzando as supplied with BiaB has only a few instruments, but you can download other instrument libraries for it. There are a number of good sound libraries around that Sforzando can import. Try Compifont, JJazzLab-SoundFont or Timbres of Heaven. Sforzand have some on their website, both free and paid.
I'm sure that swingbabymix isn't stupid, but I guess I am.... Could someone point me to instructions on how to add Timbres of Heaven soundfonts to the sforzando synth in BIAB... Thanks!

It apparently is loaded from within Sforzando. I did it long ago, but I don't use it. As you know Sforzndo is free in BIAB and is used to play the HiQ instruments (for example, Super Midi Tracks). As a result it has been hard coded into BIAB by the developers. I have struggled with its usage in the past. Hence, VSTSythfont64 which just works better for me.

Dan, thanks for your response. I have been using VSTSynthFont64 as well, but find it to be somewhat quirky. I see from your attached screen shot, that you did manage to get Timbres of Heaven loaded into Sforzando somehow. Just wondering how that somehow is accomplished! Thanks again!
To use Timbres of Heaven first use the import function, have a sub folder created to store the converted files and once that's done, your Sforzando screen should look like MusicStudent's. At that point, you can easily access it by loading any Hi-Q patch, opening the Sforzando plug-in from the BIAB Mixer and go to the Converted option Button and replace the hard-wired BIAB patch with a Timbres of Heaven patch.

Charlie, thanks... I had done that but it had all kinds of weird numbered groups and frankly it sounded pretty bad. It was worth a try!

Looking at MusicStudent's image, that column of numbers to the right are separate folders. Click one and the SF2 patche menu should appear and be selectable for loading into the player. That's how it works on my system. I've had no problems with sounds. The DXI plug in doesn't seem to have an effect on the patches when I access TOH patches from the Hi-Q menu but I think I can add effects from Sforzando if it's necessary.
