Hi David, sorry you took it that way, it's certainly not meant to be a call to violence. I think a lot of people believe that there should be trials and if people are guilty then the punishment should fit the crime.
In what world is hanging not an act violence? What your song states can only happen via extra-judicial means. You write here about "trials", but there's no mention of that in your song, only of "hang" and "hung". You write here "if people are guilty", but your song states unequivocally that these people are guilty. As for the "punishment should fit the crime", hanging in the UK has been abolished since 1969, and capital punishment since 1998. The UK is a signee of the 13th Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights, which prohibits the restoration of the death penalty. Your song is literally a call to violence.
