So help me remember is the BIAB plugins not compatible with VST2 or VST3 but only VST plugins? When you Add a Plugin does it only show dx or .VST as options to add?

Something is odd in this post:

A forum search appears to confirm No VST3 support in BIAB. But does appear to suggest VST2 are functional.

Dan,

Band-in-a-Box is not compatible with VST3 plugins. It is compatible with VST2 (normally labeled as VST) and DX plugins.

Also remember 64 bit plugins for 64 bit BiaB or 32 bit plugins for 32 bit BiaB but if you have jBridge both will work with either program.

I tried JBridge once and it caused real problems. Is there some key to using it effectively. I have Bandstand for my 32-bit BIAB and I would love to supplement some tracks with Kontakt Sound Libraries. It would be nice to be able to use the 64-bit Kontakt 6 in my 32 bit version of BIAB but I am afraid of the problems I ran into before? Can you give me some help or suggestions. (I tried installing the last 32 version of Kontakt 6 but I think it overwrites the new 64 bit version--in any case it worked partially for a day but I need more knowledge or another workaround. BIAB crashed and my hours of work was lost except for my backup USB drive had my lost BIAB files!)

Here’s a good article, easy to follow and not too long:

I find BIAB's "Choose a Plugin" dialog a bit confusing.
I can't tick off plugins that I don't use that don't appear in the list.
This makes me more uncomfortable.

Peter, my link is explaining VST versus VST3. It doesn’t address your question. You could start a new thread and it should get an answer. A couple of folks on here were good with JBridge.
