When BIAB seems to be doing something it shouldn't, my first plan of attack is to revert to factory settings using the MOST option. This is found under the Options menu on the upper toolbar. Try this. It might solve your problem. Noel96 is normally right. You may also want to open the Chord Display window and make sure the program does not have some kind of visual transposition engaged. Thank you both SOOOOOO much, Noel and Jim   Jim's detailed description of how to reset visual transpose fixed the problem. I have no idea what "visual" transpose means or why the key was showing "F+17" in the main window, but when I go to Key->Set Visual Transpose and set it to "0" there, my problem is solved. I still have no idea how the '+17' ended up there (I just opened that sub-dialog for the first time), but whatever. If you should ever be in my neck of the woods there's a beer waiting for you
