Grem, if you use Real Band just as a sequencer, then it has no particular advantage over any other sequencer - SONAR or many other choices. Often it's a matter of which one operates more like the personal style you prefer, or what the other musicians you work with are using. Real Band does have one major advantage over any other sequencer, though: it can preserve the chord information from BIAB, so that you can continue to change the song. In other words, there is some overlap between BIAB and Real Band. Give it a try. The only reason I stay with SONAR is that I have used it for a decade and I'm comfortable with it. I do not claim to know Real Band well; others here are far more experienced with it.
