I assume that's you on the guitar for the fills n trills. They really make the song complete,(though may be a little loud in the chorus).
The harmonies are ace.
There's a bit of a brittle build around 3.5kHz particularly when the sustained chords are behind the vocal.
Terrific song, terrific performances too.
Ray, thanks for your comments. I appreciate your close listening skills, Tom
Hi Tom ...
What a cool country sound!
Even though your voice is much different from Richie McDonald's, I get somewhat of a Lone Star vibe from this. David Lee Murphy also comes to mind. I love the full, robust bass line. For me, everything about this says 1995 country at its best. Some contemporary nasmes could also push thisd yup the charts. But, no matter the other namnes, I doubt it would sound as good this.
Good to hear from ya!
Alan
Al, you’ve always said such nice things about my songs. Thanks! I used to live 20 miles from where Murphy grew up in Southern Illinois but never met him. I had a conversation with McDonald once when we opened for Lonestar. Nice guy.
Yep, you were missed, Tom. Man, this software is gold in your hands. Your guitars really top the bill, and the story lyrics are just perfect. Harmonies are so good.
Marty, thank you for your thoughtful comments, Tom
