These are hard times for many and when you need employment and can't obtain it, it's double-hard; I've been there.

Perhaps the best advice I can can give is if you're searching for work you need to work harder to find a good job than when you had a job. Set your alarm clock, get out of bed and work hard all day and into the night. Your full time job is to improve your skills set, network and convince potential employers that they need you. And now might be the best time to think about pivoting to a new career.
