I have the download version of the Ultra Pak, but I have 100% of it installed on my external TB3 samples drive, even the program executables. I don't know how the HD delivered by PG Music is configured, but if it is just a mirror of the normal C: drive install, then you could just run from that drive. A caveat would be the speed of the HD they send you and if it is a hard drive or an SSD. My 2TB samples drive is Thunderbolt 3 SSD that transfers data at 40x a 7500 RPM hard drive. My other 2 external 2 TB drives are USB 3.2 that transfer data at 9x the speed of a 7500 RPM hard drive. The READ speed is the critical spec. The WRITE speed can be whatever. The only time you write to it is updates and add-on PAKs.
