Here what you need to do:
1. Install the sonivox instrument per the programs instructions. IMPORTANT: you need to know where the *.dll file for the instrument is saved.
2. In RB right click on an empty MIDI track
3. Move cursor to "specific DXi/VSTi for MIDI track"
4. add the bottom of the list click on " "add VSTi Plugin"
5. navigate to where the *.dll file is saved as in step #1 this will make it available in RB
6. Right click on a track again and go to "specific DXi/VSTi for MIDI track" you should now see the Sonivox instrument.
7. Choose it and it'll be assigned to that track.
8. right click the same track and choose" Open DXi/VSTi Synth Panel Configuration"
9. set it up the way you want
10. Should work
