Loves The Only Food Hi all. New song Folk "Loves My Only Food" My wife is from Liverpool in the Uk and has been concerned about the social welfare issues there. She asked me if I could write something and the following song is the result. Thank you for listening and all the best. Loves The Only Food December MercySide I need to warm my feet. I need to find new ways to meet my children's needs. Hunger gnaws my wretched soul and I can't get to sleep. When I first heard the uke intro, I braced for a thin uninteresting song but then the band kicked in and wow!
Your vocals are great, especially the background vocals.
Very pleasant listen and the lyrics are penetrating.

a very warm vocal for sometimes chilling narrative.
Yes, the welfare system in the UK is being killed off by the usual collective.
In such times reassurance of love is important and you offer that.
The band is cool, your vocal is wonderful.

In style it's more of an American song than a Liverpool song, but I like it, especially your vocals.

Love the uke opening. The song itself is so reminscent of a classic 50’s song (particularly with those great BGVs). I could hear Elvis or the like doing this. Nice write and production elements. Well done!

Classic 60's type of pop song with a slight modern touch. Very catchy chorus melody fits well with the hopeful message. Excellent vocals, especially the backing. The band is also very pleasant, nice to hear ukulele and the fiddle works very well together with other instruments.
