Surprising but refreshing to hear a reggae flavored Blue Attitude song.
Marty's bass works especially well for the mood.
Quite sad lyrically but definitely my cup of tea, fighting the impossible, "carving my coast of sadness" is a very powerful image. And the beautiful video with the slowly moving waves and the lonely chair on the beach reflect that feeling achingly well. The lead guitar tone is heartbreaking. One of the most touching songs on this forum this year.
Vocals are enjoyable as always, powerful and emotional.

Janne

Great job to everyone involved! Though I enjoy the writing and musicianship on this forum, and this song is a great example of both, I agree with Floyd about the producers here. You folks are fantastic!

Hi BlueAttitude and the Team,

Beautiful song full of emotion. The lyrics and the vocl are very pleasant. The playing of rhythm and solo guitars are done with finesse. It's a very good composition. I appreciated.

Wow, yet another excellent song . . . The vocal is just so, so good and is so well married to the mix . . . just outstanding. As are all the other elements of the song. Top notch tune, folks! Very impressive! (Cool work on the video, too!)

Happy Holidays to you all,

Deej

I listened to it yesterday evening, but had no time to respond. And just now I listened again (and Broken World after that, again).
It's a very lovely song, beautiful funky rhythm, good singing, solo and bass, but, and here I meet Floyd the most, a very, very good mix.
I enjoyed the song a lot!

A drawback; it ended way too soon...

Hans

Thanks for the kind words, Hans, and thanks for checking out Broken World as well!

You will never hear more than a simple arrangement from me, Robert, simple is what I do wink

Thanks!

I've never been a fan of adding massive amounts of tracks just because you can, less is more has always worked the best for me.

Dave, I' thrilled so many are mentioning your talent in the production end. You have so much talent in the writing and playing that it is often overlooked. I just wanted to thank you for all I've learned from you over the last couple of years.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Cool groove. Loved the palm muted guitar. Awesome vocal from Chris. Marty's bass really gives the song a cool feel. Super solo Dave. Loved the tone. Well done

Dave, Marty and Chris,

This track has a more commercial pop sound than what we usually hear from you, but you folks nailed it! Everything about this sounds great! Chris is always on top her game with writing and performance, and she delivers again here! I agree with you about Marty! His bass playing on this track is high level pro work and really carries the song along! Dave, I love those little muted guitar parts you are doing...they kind of give this a reggae feel! The solo is a killer...not overplaying but just giving what's necessary to be effective! Great song!

Thanks, T

I second what's already been said: pro all the way.

Clean sound, lots of space in the mix, excellent work by everyone on everything.

Everything sounds like it's at the next level. laugh

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

“I come and go
like waves on a shore
carving my coast of sadness”

Really nice!

A few in no particular order thoughts:

- Cool funky with a hint of reggae vibe!
- love the lone chair on the beach during solo
- Killer vocals with soul and attitude
- Scorching guitar ... strong
- That bass man always comes through!
- the RT’s and EZ drums sound like session folks
- In short ... it's pro level through and through.

Enjoyed it!

Hi Torrey,

Well, the guitar doing the muted guitar parts is a BIAB Realtrack. I can play that style a little, but not as good as he could wink

I'll take credit for the solo though! Thanks very much for the kind words and support, very much appreciated.
