First of all , the vocals are world class. Janice makes it sound so easy because for her it is easy! The mix is great. The instruments are all separated and very clear. Peter plays all the right stuff. Nice bass work and a good blues write. Like David said, it’s always blues season! Tom

My hat's off to Bud playing an upright bass. I tried it a couple of times but it fought me and won.

So good guys!!! I was blown away by the feel, the voice and the bass, then Peter's solo swept up the ashes, and like a Phoenix, I rose to enjoy that SuperTrack piano, too. What an outstanding performance, mix and master. At the very end I hear something that sounds like one of the musicians putting down their instrument. Janice's singing is... well, we all know it doesn't get any better than that voice. Glad you're back on bass, Bud, and with a great sound. Peter, this is my fav of you. What a terrific feel, tone and taste. So much in the mix --can only be tamed by someone with your skills, Bud. What to say other than we much appreciate the generous and supportive review. Loved the walkdowns in this, I like to use them myself sometimes. Really effective. Peter absolutely destroyed it on guitar, best I've heard from him. All those wonderful vocal tracks by Janice topped it all off so well. Great work, congratulations to the whole team. Happy holidays to all.

Isn`t Christmas tough? You are pulling out all the stops to convince us here; great vocals ( with inspired callbacks, or whatever those repeats are in correct terms), a very convincing band including a rare appearance of that bass thumper, and some amazing icing from Peter`s guitar.

Enjoyable blues with cool chord progression and strongly flowing vocals. And what an excellent mix. I like the hard hitting piano and that dirty sound of guitars, maybe there could be little bit more distortion also on drums just to see dust and sweat fill the air  Janne

It's always blues season! Janice and Peter both do their stuff so well here! Outstanding vocals and guitars. Love the mix, thanks for the details! I see the EMT Plate all over the drums, but the only think I hear on the drums is how nice they sound. As usual, I'm impressed with how well everything fits into them mix - especially the piano. Everything sounds clear without being even slightly harsh. Happy Holidays, y'all, back atcha!  And happy holidays to you! Thanks for all your comments. And for mentioning the drums and piano. Those MST pianos are IMO amazing along with Logic Pro’s Grand Steinway, some Waves magic and Ozone’s Imager. I also appreciate the mix comment. This one was a bit of a struggle. J&B

Classic blues for sure! super band and crazy good vocals...I love the piano parts and the crispness of the drums...the bass is spot on with the kick...great job Bud...and Peter kills it with those guitar licks...so well done...as usual! With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
