I have the latest version of 2023 and want to import a midi file with some tempo changes.
The features listed for the 2021 version state:
"You can now import MIDI markers and tempo map to the chord sheet. Just drag a MIDI file onto the chord sheet."
But when I try this in 2023 it does NOT import the tempo map. I no longer have 2021 to test if it worked before (as advertised) so I wonder if this has been left out of 2023, or perhaps never worked?
Anyone know how to do this, perhaps as a workaround?

I'm not sure if the Tempo copies across as well.
Others may be able to clarify.

I get nothing, even when I open it manually there is no tempo change though I get the chords: Zoom++

I found a 2021 bbw_64_845.exe and it was the same, it only imported the chords on a manual Open from either the midi markers or the midi block chords.

OK - so the 2021 "features" were wrong! You cannot import the tempo map from a midi file, no matter what way you do it.
Since BIAB has bar settings to specify tempo changes it should be easy to read this from the midi file and put it in. That seems an easier job than interpreting the chords (which it already does) so I think they should fix this.
In addition, importing a midi file should also write into the bar settings any meter changes (4/4 to 2/4, etc) since that information is also in the midi file and easily recognized and accommodated by BIAB bar settings.

The thing is DAW use decimal tempo maps that change at beats as well as bars so you may have 110.537bpm change and Biab will only use whole number at the start of a bar.
You may be may need to drop the midi into BBPlugin Standalone, save it to SGU then open in Biab if it just has simple whole number changes on bars.

I found a work-around, discussed here: https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=745125#Post745125The work-around (converting to XML) will get all tempo changes to the resolution of a bar (not beats inside the bar) but it is still quite useful.
