Just a quick comment on the Tennessee Whiskey - The Dean Dillon Story documentary for those who may be interested. I saw this free on Amazon free this morning. It's really not a "how to", but more of a story about Dean Dillon and his career to this point. I've been a fan of his writing for years and thought the doc was put together well. It features several other writers/singers/producers commenting about his work. For those who don't know, he's had many big hits - mostly in the Country music genre. Many for George Straight and also others like Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, George Jones, Justin Timberlake and others. It has a couple incidents of un-needed rough language, but other than that I really enjoyed it - for those who may be interested.

Does it talk about how to steal an Etta James tune, change the lyrics, and not give any credit to an obvious plagiarism?

David Allen Coe's version will always be the one I think of when I hear the name of this song. With George Jones close behind. Stapleton's version is a hybrid of the song and his own jam on it. To give credit where credit is due.... Chris did put it in the #1 slot.

You mean you'd 'rather go deaf' than listen to the umpteenth thousand stolen song stolen from another song? I'm just mad I failed to patent the G# note back in the day. I'd have collected plenty off all those vocals leading into A Major I.
