This second version is much more intimate. Your solo voice carries through more, and I'm so glad you kept at least some of the harmonies. Just had to add this, my two cents' worth, for what it's worth :-) Superb song, who wouldn't wish for what the lyrics wish for, at Christmas? I know that I, for one, definitely would. You have a way of reading the human soul, and to articulate its hopes and dreams, so well. Bravo. Happy Christmas, once more.

Very touching and emotional lyric and your heartfelt interpretation really brings it back home. Very pleasant melody. Good selection of instruments, I like the solo guitar, but somehow the rest of the band sounds bit restrained compared to its brightness. I feel this would be a perfect soundtrack song for any Hallmark Christmas movie.

Beautiful song, Deej, in all aspects. The arrangement is very nice and we love the call back harmonies.
Your heartfelt vocals are always a big part of the package as so many have mentioned.
Excellent band and mix that set up a great soundstage on the monitors.
