That's good to hear Gordon.
In my testing (much the same method) the file size actually varied when compressing/decompressing FLAC and comparing.
ie, they did not match after the process, whereas with Monkeys Audio they did.
This was quite a few years ago though.
Things change and I can accept that
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
