You shouldn’t really bother. Just first type in a chord on the first beat and then the other chord in that bar (2 chords per bar is easy to type in). Don’t use any pushes or anything.

It will play just fine. Most jazz waltzes have a second chord on 3, but it will still sound just fine. If it doesn’t work, could you give me an example of what it needs to sound like?

Some 3/4 jazz waltzes are really 6/8 (or 6/4, depends on how you look at it) but are counted 1-2-3. Especially fast waltzes, like My Favorite Things…
