Very interesting soundscape, dark, mysterious and inviting. Lyrics are somewhat scary, the organ, the chord progression and the guitar sounds reflect the message chillingly. Vocals fit well with the mood and those whispering parts are very cool. Long but doesn't feel like it, had to listen to it again. Liked the video also, reminds me of David Lynch, great work!

Had I learned to use the Spectrum matcher before I'd sent this for mastering I may have actually salvaged the vocal - c'est l'guerre!

Excellent Ray!

Your and Gene’s playing mesh very well (ALL of the instrumental performances sound excellent as does the vocal). The “Bandhi Nahbox” guys were great choices and sit well in the mix with the recorded tracks.

We loved the video and your “Ray in a box” pop-ups were very good. The sophisticated light show was an added bonus. smile

And, of course, we once again enjoyed your fine lyric.

This is a standout “stadium filling” production.

Hope you’re enjoying the holidays!

Thanks Marty. This was an easy one...the only hiccough was, yet again, the lyric but that, eventually created itself.

Thanks Torrey,
I started by TRYING to follow a "common" progression in A but couldn't let go of the G#m to D of the intro so gave up almost as soon as I started.

I'm glad the lead parts worked. As I waited, (Gene & his family contracted C19 so things were delayed), I filled in gaps and feared I'd leave no spaces.

Thanks TM,
I retracked the vocals looking for a colour that was less beige.

I want to put on a black light while I listened. I liked your blue shirt. It would look good in the black light.

Thanks ES,
I'm pleased you liked the bass - it probably took almost as much time as the vocal.

Thank you sir,
The organ took some chasing & didn't really work until I reduced it to mono.

Thank you Janice & Bud,
The video was an easy job, actually the whole song was a breeze to build as I did it organically - no preparation or planning - I went with what felt right in each session.

Why, thank you Peter,
I'd finished listening to your new track - an absolute cracker, (and, I have to admit, some special pleasure in hearing last pronounced the way I hear & say it).

Hello Ray,

I listened to the early version in november, I think. This one has the same vibe, luckily, and the vocals sounded a bit louder now.
That's good. And it's also good you stayed the singer in the band. This are the kind of song for you and your vocals.
I enjoyed it and still enjoying it.

Hans
