Is it possible to open a song with chords while in the DAW mode, or is it necessary to type them in individually? I ask as I have not been able to do so myself. I have only been able to convert files to a seprate folder and then drag to my DAW.I have tried to copy & paste into the VST window in DAW mode with out success as well.
DAW Mode in BIAB is not the same as the BIAB-VST! So I am not sure what you mean here. there is no such thing as "the VST window in DAW mode"?
Yes, you can open BIAB .sgu/.mgu files which contain the chords in the BIAB-VST in your DAW. Second point, some DAW's will let you Drag/Drop a copy of the chord chart directly from BIAB into the DAW (i.e., REaper), but others need you to drop into a folder first and then Drag/Drop into the DAW.

Thanks Musicstudent!
Sorry for my terminology miss, but I believe you understood my question/dilemma. I have been unable to open sgu/mgu files in the BIAB/VST in my DAW, which is Reaper. This is my principle dilemma. Perhaps this is caused by some lack of preference setting??? I am unable to find info on settings for this which will make the BIAB/VST function in REaper. Do you have any suggestions, this would be most helpful.
Here is as quick a demo I could throw together which still meets my minimum quality requirements.
Opening a BIAB .mgu/.sgu file in BIAB VST in Reaper should be a simple as it can get. So take a look at my setup and see if you notice anything different from yours.
Thank you for the vid! That was easy to follow and on top of that, IT WORKED! Wonderful! Follow up question, is there a method, probably a preference, for depositing all the BAIB generated files into separate folders within Reaper? Or is it necessary for separate files to be generated through the DAW button on BIAB to a designated folder to be loaded to Reaper later?
I can tell you it is actually easier than you need to make it. For example, I do not worry at all about the BIAB-VST rendered files since, once I drag them to reaper, they are fully managed by Reaper with its "save-as" function (see picture). This moves all the rendered and inserted .wav files, which were moved from BIAB-VST, into the Reaper Project Folder.
If you save from the BIAB-VST the rendered .wav files are placed with a date/time stamp in a single folder identified in the "preference" setting. I just clear this folder out when it gets full. Maybe I should do another video.
Again many thanks! I am able to generate separate wav files to a map after which I drag/drop to Reaper. This method works fine, it would only seem as though there is a more direct method thus eliminating the stop over file. If the solution to this is hidden in your kind reply above, I am afraid I did not catch it.
I don't understand, "I am able to generate separate wav files to a map" or " the stop over file". The wave files are drag/dropped directly from the VST GUI, either individually or all at once and placed on the individual Reaper tracks. Maybe time for another video. In the mean time PGMusic has made a number of Reaper/BIAB-VST training videos (see below). Of couse you don't get the warm personal touch, but they do ok. Let us know if this answers you question?
I no longer use Reaper but I seem to remember there is a setting in Reaper where the program will either save all project audio files in one folder or can use audio files outside the project folder.
If you enable save all audio files in one folder I believe drag and drop tracks works directly; in other words without an intermediary folder. However, if you select to use audio files that are outside the project folder the program expects you to monitor the folders outside the project and manage the audio files contained in the outside folders.
