She asked if I knew a guy who could write music and produce. I said I knew the guy. She joined the next morning. This is one week later. She has about 50 more now in our drop box. It's going to be a busy year. i liked the lyrics....and the song concept....
and the paceing.
only a suggestion, but cos i liked the song in my mind i heard it 'harder rocking' but thats just me/an idea.

David, It looks like you have a new lyricist in your arsenal!
She wrote some super lyrics and you put them perfectly into a song.
I liked the backing band and think this is better as a country song than a rock song but that is only my opinion.
A great collaboration.

The vocal is a bit high-EQ-ish (good other than that)

David, you're right - she can write! I really liked the song, and personally, I like the style of music you put with it. I thought it fit the song very well. Good song all the way around. Keep encouraging her, I'm anxious to hear more from you two.

This is FANTASTIC. Superb lyrics, of course - but, for me, what makes it is that you invariably keep things real when you sing, David. And that's sadly very rare. Bravo to both of you, what a song.

Pretty cool stuff, I think her writing and your singing/composing go very well together. And with 50 more songs available.... I'm looking forward to them Production-wise, I'd expect dirty guitars on a song about dirty hands, i.e. instead of a country vibe, a rockier vibe might convey the message more intensely. But that's just me growing up in non-country country

Ha! The song went in the opposite direction I expected.  Good write. Not pop or commercial - not a criticism - but very much the sort of vibe I'd get from a collaboration with you. Sounds like you two are a good match!

I like the band, arrangement and performances.
I know the narrative would be popular with the target demographic as it's part nostalgia, part memoir, part fantasy and an huge chunk of the American dream.
