Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to make a Demo song that will play a sample for your custom-made user style using Quick Play and how to create a song that will load into BIAB using Load Song Demo

1. Create and save your custom-made style. In this case, as an example and for these instructions, I will use the name Mystyle. The file will have the name Mystyle.sty and will be located in the default directory of C:\bb\styles. It will show up when you rebuild ALL styles. It has to be ALL styles because you created it and you gave it a name that is not in the default BIAB style listing from PGMUSIC.

2. Make a song in BIAB using your new custom style called Mystyle.sgu

3. Generate the song and make sure it plays OK to your satisfaction

4. Perform this next step to save the song as a WMA file.

File-Save Special-Export as .wma

The name of the song HAS to have the same name as your custom-made user style. Remember in this example, I named the song Mystyle.sgu so the exported WMA file has to have the name Mystyle.wma

5. Make sure you save the WMA file in c:\bb\Realtracks\Data\Style Demos Audio. It must have the same name as the name of your custom-made style.

6. At this point you should have your custom-made style located in C:\bb\Styles and you have rebuilt the style list using ALL styles. You should also have the WMA file located in c:\bb\Realtracks\Data\Style Demos Audio and it MUST have the same name as your custom-made style. In this case the style was named Mystyle.sty and the WMA file was named Mystyle.wma

7. Now the demo song you made up should play when you click on “Quick Play Using Premade Demo” in the Style Picker menu.

To be able to “Load A Demo Song” from the Style Picker menu, you will need to do the following step 8 after you have done step 7.

8. Copy your SGU song file to the following directory:

C:\bb\demos\realtrack-demos

IMPORTANT STEP! At this point you have to rename the song you want BIAB to load in using the “Load A Demo Song” function so that the name starts with the style name.

For example, if I have a song using the Mystyle style I created and I named the song “Joe’s Blues in E”, BIAB will not load it using “Load A Demo Song” because it has to be renamed “Mystyle Demo – Joe’s Blues in E” for it to work right.

Evidently BIAB will look for an associated song file that starts with the Style Name. If you look at all the examples in C:\bb\demos\realtrack-demos\ you will see their naming examples.

That is where BIAB will look for a song using the custom-made style to load. Since it is an actual song file, everything will load including the chords. In this example I took my song file called “Joe’s Blues in E.sgu” and COPIED it to the aforementioned directory. I then renamed it from “Joe’s Blues in E.sgu” to “Mystyle Demo – Joe’s Blues in E.sgu”. Now when I click on "Load Song Demo" it brings it into BIAB just like all the other styles provided by BIAB operate.

Remember, you can open a SGU file from any directory on your computer, but you can only perform a "Load Song Demo" to go along with the style from C:\bb\demos\realtrack-demos\ in order for it to work since that is where BIAB expects It to be and it has to be named properly.

This is quite a lot of information to process so if you see any mistakes, let me know so I can edit the post if necessary.
