Yes, Matt, exactly.

I can imagine it in addition to track freeze. For an example, I have an 8 bar opening verse that's perfect and I've programmed it for 4 runs through the chord sheet. The tracks would be frozen for the first 8 bars in all 4 chorus and I envision those bars being greyed out and inoperable for chord entry.

Of course, there should be an option to unfreeze the section/ selected bars as with the tracks.

I'm working on the 2nd 8 bar verse and I've got 3 of the tracks in that section frozen at track level while I work on some regeneration. I can still enter/ change chords in the chord sheet, but if I want to then then of course I'd have to unfreeze those 3 tracks in bars 9-16.

Remaining bars 17-32 are open for business.

The biggest advantage would be to regenerate within a specific section of bars were you later wanting to modify your chord entries. Freeze all bars except the ones you want to work on. You would also be able to unfold the arrangement to modify something in any bar/ section.

It is sort of the inverse of regeneration, but I think it would compliment workflow immensely.

Help! I've fallen up and can't get down!
