“Words aren’t true anymore.” What an excellent lyric and it is punctuated so well by that last line. Your lyric and the band and vocal performances capture the feeling of fear that permeates the topic. There’s fear from those fleeing oppression and their fear of the unknown as well as the fear of them by some countrymen to whose “shores” they reach. No diction worries here. Too much attention to that can in our opinion suck the soul out of a vocal! Love the wrecking crew.  Kudos! J&B

An excellent write- strong and smart without losing the point in anger.Your vocals are always a standout-no diction issues here for me and the only thing I heard wanting in that propulsive backing was the need for a little more energy coming through on choruses.
I don`t know the book you mentioned as inspiration:sounds interesting,so I`ll have a look for it.

Scott...great rockin' tune...your vocal was top-notch and I loved the drive of the song...the passion of the subject is evident in your vocal...unfortunately there are no open frontiers any more.

I am catching up with the songs I missed the last couple of weeks and I ran into your song.
As usual, a very cool/strong song with that voice of yours and the message in the lyrics. Like that!
I liked how you came to your lyrics, with the Statue words included. Verey nice. But I advise you not to do what David S said.
You will not survive that, I'm sure. Those bad days we're in now more and more, unfortunately.
