This song is one of those bucket list performances for me. There was a time many years ago when Bob was telling my story as I was living it. I figured it was about time to finish this and put this to rest. I last stopped working on this when I got ill with the virus back in September of 2022. This is now the first time recording any vocals since that time. I am afraid that the virus destroyed my throat and I fear the damage may be permanent. That news is not as bad as it sounds, since I was never "a real singer" even before this. But some songs have to be sung. I have always taken comfort in the words of Florence Foster Jenkins who wrote; "People may say I can't sing, but no one can ever say I didn't sing.” So I have never been shy about singing. Dan, don't let anyone say you can't sing. You nailed this man. This is your rendition and it was a good listen. You should do more. Make You Feel My Love might be a good next one? Thanks Bass, but that voice is not where I would like it to be. But I do appreciate the kind sentiment. And regarding the virus, I am afraid it was the virus which kicked my butt.

My voice was also affected by this virus. Too much coughing may have done some damage? It does have a different quality now, but maybe not in a bad way? I always thought my voice was too "clean" sounding anyway!! Sinatra I am not.
My wife asked if I had seen the dog bowl. I told her I didn't even know he could.
