I have finally figured out how to add a melody track but I am unable to put in tied notes. I was told to use the "Notation Symbols", then 'Slur' and that would work. Yes that put a nice 'tied line' between the two notes but it has no effect on playback, I still get two individual notes and it sounds terrible. I have spent hours watching videos and going through the manual to no avail, HELP!
Are you using MIDI or RealTtacks with notation in your melody track?
RealTracks notation does not respond to notation editing because Reatracks is prerecorded audio and notation is added after the recording as a visual aid to what you are hearing.
However, even with RealTracks you maybe able to get what you want using Playable RealTracks. Check out +++ THIS +++ PG Music video on YouTube.
I assume it is MIDI because it shows Vibes in yellow. I see what you are referring to with the Real Tracks being pre-recorded, that makes perfect sense. I will look at that recommendation to see if I can figure something from that. Thanks for reply, I will let you know how I make out.
It sounds to me that you have entered two notes of the same pitch and are attempting to tie them together so that only one note plays. If you have entered two notes, both will play. Try deleting the second note and changing the length of the first note to take up the additional note length where the second note was.
Samples below show with a Slur added (which doesn't work), and an automatic Tie is added by lengthening the single note (which does work):
