Hola a todos, LATIN COWBOY es un tema que compuse con la intención de demostrar lo que se puede lograr "armando" un estilo personalizado en Band-in-a-Box. En este caso la idea vino de una pregunta realizada en el foro de habla inglesa de Band-in-a-Box acerca de como lograr un estilo de rock latino tipo "Santana". El estilo que hice contiene seis instrumentos entre RealTracks, RealdDrums y un estilo MIDI el cual tomé como punto de partida para realizar la personalización del mio propio. Es importante hacer notar que excepto la guitarra solista, TODOS los instrumentos en esta pieza fueron generados por Band-in-a-Box, usando las RealTracks y metales de un estilo MIDI . La verdad disfruté mucho creando y grabando este arreglo! Latin Cowboy, es un tema con carácter latino rock en la onda de la version de Santana de "Oye Como Va" original de Tito Puente. Además de la guitarra y el saxo está la intervención de "fiddle" o violin estilo bluegrass en las improvisaciones, de ahi el nombre del tema. Por supuesto de esta forma se demuestra también la enorme versatilidad de Band-in-a-Box, las RealTracks y los RealDrums, además del programa RealBand como complemento y extensión de Band-in-a-Box. Creo que este estilo que hice se adapta muy bien a canciones como Black Magic Woman, Flor De Luna y otros de Santana, pero por supuesto puede ser utilizado en cualquier música del género que este dentro de tiempos de aprox 120 ahasta 140 bpm. Para tempos mas lentos, en canciones como Samba Pa´ti, no trabajaría muy bien, ya estoy trabajando en un estilo para esos tempos. Construcción de estilo.En la construccion del estilo usé L_MAMBO6.STY (Latin-Mambo 6 ala Perez) MIDI style disk #25 as starpoint (solo tomé de ahi el MIDI Brass para mi estilo) y luego agregué los siguientes: Bajo, Acoustic, Rumba Ev 110 - RealTrack #916 Piano, Acoustic, Rhythm ChaCha Ev 110 - RealTrack #918 Organo, B3, Background Blues Roadhouse Ev 120 - RealTrack #674 Guitarra (optional), Electric, Rhythm NashvillePopClean Ev 120 (A: held) RealTrack #851 Batería RealDrums: Salsa Cha Cha Latin Jazz - #13 Batería adicional: Nashville even 8 #06 (not included in the style) : yo usé RealBand para añadir esta batería y entonces lo "solté" (DROP) en Cubase, ya que la agrupación original de Carlos Santana incluye percusión pero tmabién batería, necesaria para la personalidad del estilo!. (MIDI): L_MAMBO6.STY (Latin-Mambo 6 ala Perez) MIDI style disk #25 Solos: Saxo, Tenor, Motown Rock Ev 120 #403 (not included in the style) Fiddle (violín), Soloist Bluegrass Ev 130 #434 (no incluido en el estilo) --- Note: Todas las partes de violín son creadas con RealTracks, excepto de 1:50 a 2:23 el cual es un VSTi violin tocado por mi con guitarra MIDI. Solos de guitarra: es el único instrumento "externo" no virtual y es tocado por mi. Compuesto y arreglado con Band-in-a-Box 2010, Real Band, RealTracks - RealDrums mezcla, guitarra, edición y grabación adicionales en Steinberg Cubase. Band-in-a-Box aparece ahora un pequeño recuadro en la esquina superior izquierda que dice DROP, este tiene la función de servir como pista intermediaria para dichos programas. Solo hay que arrastrar el instrumento de preferencia, RealTrack o MIDI, o incluso todos al mismo tiempo (Combo) sobre este recuadro, luego de unos instantes, el recuadro adoptará color verde indicando que esta listo para arrastrar y soltar la pista en Cubase. Existe un cuadro de Opciones el cual te permitirá cambiar las diferentes configuraciones de captura, arrastre y soltar. Carlos que increible! hay toneladas de inspiración e ideas detrás de este tema. El uso de los Realtracks es demasiado ingenioso, quien se iba a imaginar un violin de música country metido en medio de una banda de rock latino. El saxo increible haciendo ese juego de preguntas y respuestas con tu guitarra. Por otro lado si bien se ve que buscabas evocar a Santana, y lo lograste, tu interpretación en la guitarra y tu feeling propios son muchísimo mas ricos e interesante que cualquier cosa que le haya escuchado a Santana...vamos, que no hablo solo de técnica sino también de recursos melódicos e ideas. Quiero preguntarte como lograste coordinar esas melodías de RealTRacks en el tema y la guitarra, es que parecen mas que un solo generado por BiaB una composicion exacta! que impresionante lo que se puede lograr con este programa usandolo con ingenio y sabiduría.
De nuevo mi admiración y cariño para ti maestro querido, desde que recibí tus primeras clases hace ya casi tres años te puedo asegurar que soy otra! y gracias por esta joya...Dios...que clase!!

Hola Alberto, me alegro que estes evolucionando en el uso y configuración de Band-in-a-Box y RealTracks. Te felicitamos y agradecemos mucho por comprar nuestros programas y por tu gran interés. Ahora entremos en materia:
Para conseguir los RealTracks sin necesidad de adquirirlos todos, te recomiendo considerar la comprar de nuestros RealPAK por separado, los cuales están agrupados en volumenes por estilos, estos paquetes salen considerablemente más económicos que comprar cada RealTrack por separado, puedes encontrarlos detalladamente explicados aqui: http://www.pgmusic.com/realpaks.htm
Para conseguir o ubicar los RealTracks dentro de Band-in-a-Box, asumiendo que ya están instalados, el programa te da acceso a los mismos por diferentes vías : en el menú Estilos/Mostrar Estilos con información (Ctrl+F9) encontrarás detallada información de todos los estilos que tengas instalados, incluyendos los correspondientes a los RealTracks. Para información, configuración y preferencias para cada uno de los RealTracks y sus instrumentos puedes acceder con el icono correspondiente ( el de la figurita de un saxo y una onda de audio roja), allí encontrarás y podrás seleccionar cada uno de los instrumentos de RealTRacks clasificados por su número, nombre, conjunto, tempo, estilo, autor etc. Por último si quieres verificar cuales son exactmente los RealTRacks que has instalado y cuales te faltan, entra en el menú Ayuda/Qué Agregados tengo?
El estilo personalizado que he utilizado en el tema LatinCowboy necesita los siguientes RealTracks:

Dado que BiaB solo permite una pista de Bateria, se sugiere el uso de RealBand y su capacidad multipista para agregar cualquier otro estilo de RealDrums como en este caso. O use la función DROP "arrastrar y soltar" en BiaB para exportar directamente los instrumentos a su secuenciador favorito.
Brass - nombre: 62 Brass Section, estilo MIDI incluído en Band in a Box (Note que este es el único instrumento MIDI usado en el estilo y la canción)

Buenas Carlos y amig@s de la comunidad, primero desearos feliz año, paso a comentar, estoy empezando a descubrir la potencia de los real track, vereis tengo un blues y le agrego los real track en todos los instrumentos, pero...... no consigo dar con la combinación adecuada al elegir el instrumento, leo que tipos de instrumentos eliges en LatinCowboy, y pregunto ¿hay algún manual o algún sitio donde poder ver las combinaciones mas adecuadas de real track para los distintos estilos?, quizás es una tontería lo que pregunto, mi problema con los videos de la pagina y algunas otras explicaciones es el ingles, apenas se muy poquito. Bueno no os molesto mas, saludos y salud para tod@s. Bittor

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums.
