Hi to all
I am using BIAB 2022, and Realband.
When I record audio to a audio track, it also records the backing, I don't want it too!
can I stop it? so just the audio from my mic is being recorded?
I have earphones on, so I know the mic is not picking that up.

Have you exported a render of your SGU file and played the render in another program such as Windows Media Player to make sure your recorded audio and BiaB generated audio are mixed together?
There is an issue with your audio settings. Normally track outputs go out of the program to the BiaB master while your audio in is recorded. Somehow the audio out and audio in are being mixed together.
Tell us your operating system and Band-in-a-Box audio settings. If possible provide screen shots.

I'll check later, I've just disconnected/turned off all my equipment.
I use 3 pc's 1 x i3 & 2 pc's i5, plenty ram & h'drive, win 10 & 11, BIAB 2022

Hi Roy,
In addition to Jim's good advice, another possibility is that Windows is set to record what your soundcard "hears" (i.e. mic and playback) and not just the microphone. This will depend on what type of soundcard you have.
Go to Windows "Control Panel | Sound" and have a look under the "Recording" tab, and double-check that the microphone is set as the recording device.

Thanks for replies.
It made me think!
I'm using a usb mixer, which has a built-in soundcard, so my mic goes into the computer though that, but what I did not think of, is biab also goes into it, so it goes out with the mic signal.
I do it like that so I use earphones plugged int mixer, an I can hear it all while singing.
I'll be have to have a rethink of connections.
