Thanks so very much to Dr. Gannon and his staff - to include the highly talented musicians who give PG Music the sound to work with. And then Dr. Gannon experts turn those sounds into the incomparable tools we, as users, are privileged to use to our hearts' content.
Band In A Box is so much more than a fabulous assembly of software. For many, it's a path from their bedroom or garage to the rest of the listening world. It's a vehicle that transports the cacophony of dozens of tunes stuck in our heads to to the instruments we play and then onto the audience. It dares us to use its various mechanisms to create something better than it's available collection of parts.
I'm delighted and honored to be a member of this list of wonderful creators of good music.
I would like to quickly comment on Greg Johnson's note of thanks. He mentioned my instrumentals often inspire him to ad lyric and vocal to them. even if my creations are reasonably good ... he turns them into magic and develops the real potential. Thanks, Greg ! I always say, and I mean it ... you are a song's best friend. And I'm happy to call you a good friend.
And Band In A Box introduced me to two of my very dearest friends - Stefan and Maha Nachstein - extremely talented folks from Germany.
Congrats to all. Didn't see a single person on the lisdt who doesn't deserve the honor. Best to everyone. Keep writing and picking.

First of all, thank you so much for your generosity and thoughtfulness in giving these marvelous gifts. I am humbled to be named along with the many talented composers, musicians, vocalists and lyricists on the list. As a writer and composer who sits alone in my little home studio, the challenges to create and produce my dreams in music are sometimes daunting. But BiaB has stepped in to fill a role that would require many other talented people to fill and many expensive hours to compensate for. I may possess the talent and creativity to build a house but unless I possess the tools and materials to get the job done properly I could never accomplish the task. This is exactly what BiaB does for each of the people on this list and so, so many more. I am grateful beyond expression for your insight into producing independent artist's dreams and the staff and musicians who make all of it possible!
Secondly, I add my congratulations to all of the great folks on this list...many of whom I admire as artists and now hold as friends and colleagues...this forum has become a valuable testing ground for our thoughts and creative urges...thanks to Band-in-a-Box!

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
